Floor and Pews Project at Sacred Heart Church

We have some exciting news to share with the Community.

As part of a wider program to restore and enhance the beauty of Sacred Heart Church, we have received a generous donation to enable us to undertake the following improvements:

Replace existing stained carpet with a thermally-efficient, Gothic-style tiled floor.

Restore the 1881 pews to their original condition, matching the finish of the wooden ceiling and doors.

Install new ‘soft closing’ kneeler mechanisms, to prevent crashes and thuds during the Liturgy.

Get Involved, Sponsor a Pew!

We are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dedicate a pew in memory of your loved ones.

To take your part in this exciting project, we are inviting a donation of $1500 per pew, which is a contribution towards the full cost.

In return for your donation, a brass plaque will be attached to each pew, inviting prayers for the Souls by name.

Payments by installment are possible, and groups of donors may come together to memorialize a pew.  Donors may contribute to multiple pews.

We are inviting Reservations at this time, but don’t delay – there are only 30 pews and interest is very high.

Reservations are made by returning the Form with a check for the first installment of $150 made out to “Guild” with “Pew donation” in the memo.
