International pianist Sue Song will perform on Thursday October 17th at 7pm at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Sacred Heart University as part of a three-concert tour. She will be joined by students and faculty narrators, in the candlelit concert One by One.’

Sue Song, who hails from Seoul, Korea, and relocated to the United States at fourteen, brings diverse musical accomplishments to the concert. Her journey includes numerous state and international competition victories, a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory, and further studies at the Centre Conservatoire in Paris and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. She has performed at major concert halls worldwide, including Carnegie Hall. Song performed her first concert with music and narration at the Epiphany Concert on Italian national television, receiving a thumbs-up from Pope Francis. Now residing in Stamford, Connecticut, Sue Song continues performing in Italy and the United States while teaching.

“I am thrilled to be part of ‘One by One,'” Sue Song shared. “This event is a beautiful opportunity to blend music with the written word, creating a powerful experience that speaks to the heart and soul.”

The evening’s program will feature a blend of music and literature, with musical pieces by Chopin, Debussy, and Morricone, complemented by readings from Scripture, St. Theresa of Avila, and John Henry Newman, among others. This carefully curated selection offers a much-needed respite, allowing attendees to step back, relax, and reflect.

Ms. Song is scheduled to perform at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, on October 17, 2024, and at St. Mary Church in Greenwich on November 7th.
