Art Reveals the Face of Christ
Fr. Michael Clark

July 26, 2023

In his Sermon at the Wednesday night Missa Cantata during the week of the Icon Workshop, Fr. Clark spoke of the necessity of the Arts.   Art reveals the face of Christ.  “God is able to create something out of nothing, from nothing, something comes into being.”  Similarly, the artist takes a blank canvas, sheet of paper, block of marble, and beauty emerges as the Hand of the Creator directs the hand of the creator.

(The Icon pictured above was painted by our Graphic Designer, Ewa Krepsztul, during the workshop last week.  To listen to Fr. Clark’s sermon for the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, click here.)
