On Thursday, November 2nd, Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 AM in English with a Reading of the Bede Roll. At 6:00 PM there will be a Solemn High Mass with Absolution at the Catafalque. At 7:30 PM following Mass, there will be the Blessing of Soul Lights, Reading of the Bede Roll, and distribution of Soulcakes.

The month of November is dedicated to prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. At the Oratory we observe the custom of placing Soul Lights in the Churchyard to represent the souls of our loved ones. Each light represents a soul inscribed on the Bede Roll and burns continuously for 5 days as a reminder to us to pray for the Holy Souls. Forms to reserve Soul Lights are available in the Office or after every Mass in Pryor-Hubbard Hall or by clicking here. Each Soul Light Votive is $10. Checks may be made out to “Guild” with Soul Lights in the memo. Soul Light Votive Forms are due by Sunday, October 29th. Please be aware that we sold out of votives last year.
